Work has begun on the latest stage in the £5m development of the Lingfield Point business park in Darlington – the biggest single floorplate office space available in the North East.
The new phase, Memphis, will offer 100,000 sq ft of loft-style offices on one floorplate.
It follows lettings to Capita, NHS and Four Seasons Healthcare and the conversion of the Beehive, a former ballroom, into split-level studio offices. John Orchard, director of Marchday, owner of the development, says: “The environment surrounding Memphis will be carefully designed and landscaped. We’ve asked Battle McCarthy to produce a scheme which is sustainable and makes the most of the existing features.”
