Lithuanian tech business Teltonika has agreed to open its first UK base at the Exchange Quay office campus in Salford, Manchester.
Teltonika, which manufactures Internet of Things devices, will operate from a fully fitted and furnished plug-and-play space within Building 8 of the campus, spanning just under 4,000 sq ft, on a five-year term.
Exchange Quay provides 435,000 sq ft of grade-A office space, managed by Till Asset Management on behalf of Ekistics Property Advisors.
Teltonika is now set to further invest in launching its UK operation, serving both the UK and Irish markets through localised support teams. It plans to recruit a range of roles before the end of the year and continue to increase headcount year on year. Teltonika employs more than 2,500 people worldwide, with offices in more than 28 countries.
Ciarán Harkin, chief executive at Teltonika UK, said: “Exchange Quay offers us everything we need; a great location, fair financials and the campus provides us with a really good environment for our people to work from.”
Manchester’s inward investment agency MIDAS worked with Teltonika, encouraging its decision to locate in the UK and to choose Exchange Quay as its base.
Exchange Quay’s appointed letting agents are Colliers and Canning O’Neill.
