Littlesmith takes permanent pitch at Topshop

Independent jewellery company Littlesmith is launching a permanent concession in Topshop’s Oxford Street, W1, flagship following a successful pop-up.

The company first launched a pop-up at Topshop through Appear Here in January 2015 after running a weekend stall at Spitalfields market.

It stocked a range of jewellery from Littlesmith’s collection, including personalised items.

Sales at the pop-up increased by 20% over the initial four-week period, leading the brand to extend its residency for a further six weeks. By the time the 10-week period was over, it had doubled its weekly turnover and the team had grown from two to eight people.

Ross Bailey, Appear Here chief executive, said: “This is exactly why we launched In-Residence. We are giving small brands the opportunity to fast track their business by getting in front of the right audience.”

Preecha Patikit, founder of Littlesmith, said: “We launched in Topshop because we wanted to test our idea in front of a new audience. The success of the pop-up surpassed expectations. Becoming a permanent concession in Topshop will not only expose us to a bigger market, but hopefully open up new opportunities too.”
