The North West’s two enterprise zone locations have been announced.
The Peel Group’s 14m sq ft Liverpool Waters scheme at the city’s docks, and Manchester Airport Group’s 230-acre Airport City scheme at Manchester airport, will be the North West’s two zones.
Last October, Peel submitted the largest-ever single planning application in the UK for the redevelopment of part of Liverpool Docks, comprising offices, retail, 9,000 homes, a cruise terminal and cultural facilities.
Airport City, on land adjacent to Manchester airport to be developed by MAG Developments, will comprise a major mixed-use development.
