Liverpool’s former Rapid DIY building is to be redeveloped after a planning committee approved a 192-flat project.
Legacy Student Living submitted the revised plans in September, which would see the 80,000 sq ft block on Renshaw Street – vacated in 2009 – turned into a 12-storey tower.
Due to complete by autumn 2016, the block forms part of Legacy’s plans to build 5,000 student flats over the next five years.
