Liverpool gives nod to Hilton’s first Motto hotel in the UK

Greenwood Developments has been given the go-ahead to bring forward the UK’s first Motto hotel, a lifestyle brand from Hilton Hotels & Resorts. Liverpool City Council’s planning committee has made the decision in line with officers’ recommendations last week. The approval will result in the existing 143,000 sq ft Cavern Walks office building being converted into 283 hotel suites. The ground floor will remain dedicated to retail, food and beverage and entertainment space. The building will also retain its basement car park. The Motto concept features a flexible approach to accommodation, with connected guest rooms, communal spaces and coffee/bar areas.
