Grosvenor has secured Odeon Cinemas as the leisure anchor for the £900m retail-led Paradise Street scheme in Liverpool, recently re-branded Liverpool One.
Located between South John Street and Paradise Street, the 115,000 sq ft Odeon joins John Lewis and Debenhams as anchors for the 2.4m sq ft scheme.
The 14-screen multiplex, with seating for 3,000, will occupy the upper levels of a BDP-designed building, one the 30 buildings which will comprise the 42-acre city centre scheme.
Liverpool One will also include 1.6m sq ft of retail space, 230,000 sq ft of restaurants, cafés and bars, 450 apartments, two hotels, offices, a five-acre park and new public transport interchange.
Completion of the project is expected in 2008.
