Baltic Triangle scheme gets thumbs up

Liverpool City Council planners have given consent for an office-to-homes conversion scheme within the Baltic Triangle.

The decision comes a month after a one-month deferral

The scheme, designed by Studio RBA and to be delivered by Torus Developments, will see the conversion of the former Liver Grease Oil and Chemical Company’s workspace into 93 one-, two- and three-bedroom homes.

The part eight-storey, part 10-storey building sits on the corner of Norfolk Street and Brick Street and next to a 10-storey building of 64 flats that is also being delivered by Torus.

The wider Baltic Triangle area is characterised as a creative, digital and independent district of Liverpool. The area is home to more than 500 businesses, with Boxpark being the most recent addition
