Property developer Network Space has been given the go-ahead to deliver 128,000 sq ft of warehouse and office space at Estuary Commerce Park in Speke, Liverpool.
The proposals were submitted to Liverpool City Council towards the end of last year.
The new development will be located on a 6.7-acre site that was formerly the home of the first Liverpool Speke Airport, which closed in the 1980s, and now lies adjacent to Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The scheme will aim for BREEAM Excellent standard, featuring solar panels, electric vehicle charging and staff welfare areas.
Network Space senior development manager Simon Eaton said: “This proposal will make a positive contribution to economic growth and regeneration, attracting inward investment and job creation into Merseyside.
“It allows for a wide range of uses within contemporary and flexible space.”
The planning application has been prepared by Spawforths and the project team included AEW Architects, RPS, Integra and Hannan Associates.
B8RE and CBRE are the appointed letting agents on the scheme.
