Liverpool’s iconic waterfont Liver Building has gone on sale for the first time since it was opened in 1911.
CBRE has been instructed to sell the building, known for the Liver Birds on its two towers, on behalf of the Royal London Mutual Insurance Society.
Companies including ITV, Princes Food, HSBC, engineering consultancy Mott MacDonald and accounting firm Grant Thornton are in the 330,000 sq ft office and events space, which has been extensively refurbished in recent years.
Colin Thomasson, executive director at CBRE in Manchester, said: “The Royal Liver Building is known worldwide and we expect the sale to attract strong interest from investors in the UK and around the globe.”
