Liverpool’s mayor has stepped aside days after being arrested as part of an investigation into a property scandal.
Joe Anderson has said he will take unpaid leave until 31 December while the Merseyside police force carry out their investigation.
He was questioned for six hours by police last Friday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit bribery and witness intimidation.
