Former British Property Federation chief executive Liz Peace has joined the board of AEW UK REIT.
Peace, who played a key role in the creation of the UK’s REIT structure during her time at the BPF, which she helmed from 2001 to 2014, will take up the post on 1 October.
She is also chair of the Government Property Agency, the Old Oak Common and Park Royal Development Corporation and the University of Cambridge Property Board.
She also sits on the boards of Howard de Walden Estates, Greencore Homes and the Connected Places Catapult, and was previously a non-executive director on the board of RDI REIT and Redrow.
Robin Archibald, former senior independent director at Ediston Property Investment Trust, has also joined the REIT’s board.
