Lloyds appoints head of property

Lloyds-THUMB.jpegLloyds Bank Commercial Banking has appointed Glen Wilson to head its small and medium-sized company property team.

Wilson, who will have the title of head of property, moves to the business from a role as head of mortgage quality and change at Lloyds Banking group subsidiary Halifax.

In his new role Wilson will work with property companies with annual turnovers of up to £25m offering advice on funding and expansion opportunities.

Before his time at Halifax, Wilson was also senior manager of retail conduct risk and before that a professional rugby player with Doncaster Knights.

Wilson said: “As the property market responds to a growing economy and increased demand for new residential and commercial developments, it is an exciting time for me to begin this new role with Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

“I’m looking forward to leading our nationwide team, which is rich with experience and understanding of the challenges faced by the industry, and work to further enhance the quality of service offered to our clients, both old and new.”

The SME team operates separately to its commercial banking team, which is headed by managing director and global head of commercial real estate John Feeney. The commercial banking team was restructured last month into six divisions: listed clients, institutional clients, major private groups, developers, international clients and private real estate corporates.
