Lloyds orders staff back to the office

Lloyds Banking Group has written to its 63,000 staff telling them that those who work partly from home must be in the office at least twice a week.

Workers must now spend at least 40% of their working hours in the office.

Lloyds is also testing the scrapping of “compressed hours”, which allow people to work fewer days if they work the same number of hours.

Lloyds said the plans brought “clarity on our hybrid approach moving forward and will enable us to continue to best meet the evolving needs of our customers”.
