Interest from local investors helped Liverpool auction house Sutton Kersh raise £2.5m off a 67% success rate at the firm’s tenth anniversary sale.
Notable lots at the 25 October sale at the Liverpool Marriott Hotel included the three-bedroom Bleak House Cottage on Chapel Lane in Bootle. The property, which also comprised two stables, out buildings, gardens, a paddock and planning permission for seven homes, sold for £200,500 off a guide of £150,000.
Cathy Holt, auction manager at Sutton Kersh said: “There were lots of investors present with the intention of buying and buoyant bidding levels resulted in decent hammer prices being achieved. This auction marked our tenth birthday and it was great to celebrate the occasion with a packed-out auction room and a good result.”
