The Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park authority is urging that around 1,000 new homes be built there to address an imbalanced age profile.
The park’s popularity makes it one of the most expensive places in Scotland to buy a home. Young locals are being priced out of the housing market, with more than two-thirds of sales going to outsiders.
The average home price in the region is £309,000, more than double that for Scotland as a whole.
