London developer Pocket Living has won the top award at this year’s Property Marketing Awards.
Pocket, whose affordable apartments are designed for London’s middle-earning young ‘city makers’, impressed the judges with a campaign that delivered great marketing thinking, for a great cause. The winning team demonstrated style, effectiveness and commitment from strategy right through to impact, and they did it with significant passion and flair, said the judges.
The Pocket Living team also picked up the In-House Marketing Team of the Year Award at last week’s event .
Lucian Smithers, Pocket’s director of sales and marketing said: “The industry doesn’t know what to make of us – we don’t really fit into a category box, but the consumers get it. Affordable housing is complicated and we make it as simple as possible.”
Other winners at the awards – now in their 24th year – included Siren Design for Best Marketing Campaign, London Offices, with One Queen Caroline Street for their client Landid. It was the second year in a row that Siren picked up the award. The judges said that they had made the marketing money work hard with some smart ideas.
Also celebrating at the awards, hosted by former England rugby international Matt Dawson, was CBRE Global Investors which won the Estates Gazette Front Cover of the Year Award.
The awards are organised by the Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors, in partnership with Estates Gazette, and are judged by an independent panel of marketing professionals, led this year by Thomas Brown, author, speaker, consultant and former CIM marketing director.
