London Dungeon move approved

The world-famous London Dungeon has got the go-ahead to relocate from its 35-year-old home next to London Bridge station, SE1.


Merlin Entertainments, parent of the horror-themed attraction, last night got consent from Lambeth council to relocate to the former home of the Greater London council, Westminster Bridge Road, also SE1.


Merlin has permission to convert a chunk of the building to house the dungeons and create a bridge link to the property.


The move would pave the way for Network Rail’s proposed revamp of London Bridge station, which includes a new ground-level concourse bigger than the pitch at Wembley stadium.


Merlin said it still examining other locations for the London Dungeon.
