London homes taking longer to sell despite price cuts

London homes are taking longer to sell despite sellers cutting asking prices, figures from Rightmove show. Asking prices on homes in inner London have been cut by 3.6% over the course of a month, while prices further out are down 1.5%. Homes are taking around five days longer to sell than in the month preceding the referendum on European Union membership. Asking prices in England and Wales fell 1.2% on the month and were up 4.1% on the year.
