A think-tank is calling for powers to be transferred from Westminster to City Hall to tackle the capital’s housing crisis, as part of any devolution plans.
The Centre for London is demanding that London be given more power over its taxes – particularly property taxes – to ensure that its housing needs are met.
The think-tank said that London must not be forgotten as the devolution debate focuses on Scotland, Wales and the cities of the north.
