Tomorrow marks the first anniversary of the London Olympics’ opening ceremony.
This week Estates Gazette was given a tour of the Park to track progress of the Olympic Legacy and the redevelopment of the park’s key venues.
Huge strides have been made over the last 12 months in bringing the Park back into public use – but this EGTV video report reveals there is still plenty to be done to create a thriving new district of London.
New images of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and The International Quarter (TIQ) at Stratford City have also been released today.
TIQ joint venture partners Lend Lease and London & Continental Railways released a 360 degree photograph (top) showing the ongoing transformation of the former Olympic Park.
A new image of a completed International Quarter was also published.
Kristy Lansdown, Lend Lease’s project director, said: “The International Quarter is envisioned to become the commercial heart of the Olympic regeneration legacy and will be vital in making full use of the £12.5bn of infrastructure put in place for London 2012.”
