London Paramount buys Kent sites

agreement-signature-generic-THUMB.jpegLondon Paramount, the company behind the proposed theme park on the Swanscombe Peninsula in north Kent, has bought a pair of sites totalling almost 20 acres.

The acquisition of the former landfill site at Bamber Pit and the Sports Ground site represent the company’s first outright land purchases following the securing of an option agreement with Lafarge Tarmac in 2014 for the purchase of the land on the peninsula.

London Paramount Entertainment Resorts chief executive David Testa said: “With this agreement in place, the vision for north Kent as the home of a nationally significant, multi-billion pound Entertainment Resort employing thousands of people is moving another step closer to becoming a reality.

“It further underlies our commitment to delivering the project and is welcome news as we continue to consult and engage with the local Dartford and Gravesham communities near the site and more widely with our interested parties.”
