London & Paris has let the whole of the Colonnades Shopping Centre in Bath to BhS.
The landowner paid £3m for the troubled scheme and then spend £1m buying-in the leases on two adjoining shops in Stall Street. The units will be combined to create a new three-level store totalling 13,716 sq m (45,000 sq ft).
BhS is taking a 25-year lease at an undisclosed rent of between £108 per sq m and £161 per sq m (£10 per sq ft and £15 per sq ft) on the unit. The retailer’s existing store in Southgate Centre will be redeveloped.
