Alexandra Park racecourse in north London may re-open if a new proposal receives planning consent.
FFK Racing, run by Noel Farrar, Jim Fahey and Jon Kanareck is behind the main proposal for new development at the site, which closed in 1970. The company believes that the course’s convenience for wealthy City crowds will make it profitable, attracting corporate entertaining and sponsorship. There is a direct rail link from Moorgate to Alexandra Park and journeys take 16 minutes.
Proposals for several new British racecourses have also been mooted, including one at Thurrock, Essex.
