London Square and One Housing picked for £125m Lea Bridge regen

Waltham Forest Council has selected London Square and housing association One Housing to develop its £125m Lea Bridge station in East London.

The scheme comprises 300 homes, including 50% affordable housing delivery, a 32,000 sq ft cultural hub and a new entrance to Lea Bridge station.

The hub will be managed by Space and will offer incubator space for local businesses and start-ups, shops and offices and a new public space.

Mike Johnson, group development director at One Housing, said: “One Housing’s role in the regeneration of this area is more than just about bricks and mortar and will include improving employment and training opportunities alongside the new development to help transform the area.”
