Residential developer London Square has launched a commercial arm called London Square Works.
It will focus on developing bespoke space for office, retail and leisure businesses, helping to maximise its mixed-use developments.
London Square has already built £140m of commercial space across its residential schemes, comprising offices, co-working space, food stores and a specially designed community theatre.
The first commercial space to be launched by London Square Works will be a creative business community at Cally Yard (pictured above) on Caledonian Road near King’s Cross. It will provide 53,000 sq ft of flexible workspace as part of a mixed-use redevelopment.
Other opportunities in the London Square Works portfolio include 5,446 sq ft of space at Canada Water, a range of new and warehouse buildings as part of the London Square Bermondsey redevelopment and London Square Spitalfields on Commercial Street, E1.
Future sites will include regeneration close to the Queen Elizabeth Park in Stratford plus developments in Staines, Lewisham and Neasden.
Adam Lawrence, chief executive of London Square, said: “By creating our own commercial arm, we will retain control over who we work with to deliver our vision for the new and existing community. We are doing this by working with the best businesses to create new destinations to help each local area to flourish.”
