London Square has submitted plans for a major residential-led mixed-use development next to Wandsworth Town railway station, SW18.
It is the firm’s biggest proposed development to date, with 14 new buildings of between eight and 15 storeys.
The Hawkins\Brown-designed scheme will provide 517 homes, as well as 55,000 sq ft of offices and 30,000 sq ft of shops.
The existing site is occupied by a B&Q retail shed, which provides employment for 60 people. Once complete, it is anticipated that the new office and retail space will provide 484 full-time jobs.
Over 1,000 cycle parking spaces are proposed, as well as 57 car parking spaces, and 174 new trees will be planted on site.
Quod is advising on planning.
A nearby Homebase store is also set for redevelopment. Plans for 321 homes in buildings of up to 17 storeys were refused in 2016, but a more recent application has been submitted for 343 homes in buildings of up to 15 storeys.
