Lone Star has raised its bid for McCarthy & Stone to 120p per share.
The US private equity firm previously offered 115p per share for the retirement home builder in October.
The latest offer values the company at £647m, reflecting a 44.6% premium to the closing price at the start of the offer period. However, it remains below the pre-pandemic peak this year of 158p.
