Longevity hires Microsoft executive as Europe COO

Sustainability consultancy Longevity Partners has appointed former Microsoft executive Chrystèle Dumont as its chief operating officer for Europe.

Dumont most recently worked at Microsoft for 17 years, her roles including chief of staff to the president of Western Europe and chief operating officer of Microsoft’s emerging markets arm, covering 60 markets across Africa, the Middle East and Pakistan.

Her previous roles at Microsoft also include chief marketing officer of the emerging markets division and commercial and markets strategic director.

At Longevity, Dumont will be responsible for executing the firm’s European strategy. This will include the implementation of operations planning and “robust” performance management, as well as optimising the firm’s service offerings and global cross-collaboration.

She will join the firm’s global board and support its European country directors. She will be based in Paris.

Étienne Cadestin, founder and global chief executive of Longevity Partners, said: “With 300 colleagues globally by the end of 2023, Longevity is not the small boutique ESG advisory business it used to be. As we expand, it is absolutely crucial that we keep reinforcing and stabilising the group for the future.

“This cannot be done without significant investment in our senior leadership team. A big part of our ongoing consolidation journey is the holistic digital transformation work we started last year.”

Cadestin said that he will be writing “the next chapter of the Longevity story” alongside Dumont. He added that her Paris-based role will reinforce its position in the French market, which he underlined as a “key priority” for the group.

“Her vision, passion, experience, creativity and human-centric approach will contribute to the long-term success of the group,” Cadestin said.

Dumont said she joins the firm as it continues to drive “the transition to a low-carbon economy in Europe and beyond”.

She added: “Longevity Partners has proven to be able to support its customers globally in this journey over the past few years. To continue to accelerate their ambitions to meet their net zero targets, I am very much looking forward to partnering with their incredible teams and helping them drive this business change across the property industry.”
