Regeneration Minister David Curry has appointed Lord Chilver of Cranfield as new Chairman of Plymouth Development Corporation. Councillor John Ingham has been reappointed as Deputy Chairman.
Chilver is currently chairman of RJB Mining and is a former chairman of English China Clays. He is also a former Director of Zeneca Group and between 1983 and 1992 he was Chairman of Milton Keynes Development Corporation. He will take over the Chairmanship of PDC on 1 June 1996 when Sir Robert Gerken, the present incumbent, retires.
