A block of 175 flats in Ilfracombe, Devon, had to be evacuated after a six-wheeler lorry ploughed into it.
The driver had got out on a hill to ask directions and watched in horror as his vehicle careered into the flats.
The lorry contained dangerous chemicals which could have caused an explosion.
