Lovell selected for Birmingham regeneration scheme

Housing regeneration specialist Lovell has been selected by Bromford Housing Group for a £34m housing regeneration scheme in the Rea Valley area of Northfield, Birmingham.

Lovell will build 353 homes on land at Staple Lodge Road and Wychall Road at the Wychall Farm Estate and at Harpers Road at the Turves Green Estate.

Plans include a mix of two-bedroom flats, and two, three, four and five-bedroom houses which will be for affordable rent and shared ownership through Bromford Housing Group.

The development is set for completion in 2010.

Lovell regional director Chris King said: “Lovell is looking forward to starting work on this major regeneration initiative which is going to deliver high quality, energy efficient new homes and which will play an important part in the regeneration of the area.

“We are committed to continuing to work in close partnership with residents and Bromford Housing Group.”
