L&Q lands 202-home Fish Island catch

Fish-Island-570pxL&Q has received planning permission for 202 homes on Fish Island, E9, next to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The London Legacy Development Committee approved the scheme on Bream Street, which was designed by AHMM. Some 30% of the homes will be affordable and there will be employment space on the ground floor. L&Q’s scheme is opposite the house in which 1990s TV show The Big Breakfast was filmed.

Quod advised on planning. Fish Island – between Hackney Wick, the Olympic Park and Bow – is attracting attention from investors; Peabody, Weston Homes and Groveworld are working on schemes in the area.
