L&Q has submitted an EIA application for a major residential scheme near Kew Bridge, Brentford.
The scheme will provide 450 new homes in blocks up to 20 storeys high.
The site lies next to a number of other consented and planned schemes.
Brentford Football Club’s new football stadium, with 900 homes, lies to the west.
Directly to the north, an application has yet to be decided on a scheme of 550 units, by developer Facilitas Technical Engineering Services, designed by Will Alsop’s architectural practice aLL Design.
To the east lies Galliard’s Chiswick roundabout scheme, however, the proposed 327 units rising to 32 storeys proposed were refused planning back in January.
Finally, adjoining the Galliard site, the B&Q site is currently in consultation stage, where Reef Estates is proposing a mixed-use development.
Ed Tibbetts, head of design & planning – east region at L&Q, said: “As well as providing a mix of homes, our vision is to provide much-needed affordable housing in Brentford.”
