LSH appoints valuation compliance officer

Lambert Smith Hampton has appointed its first valuation compliance officer in response to the ongoing reform of the valuation profession, driven by RICS.

Rachel Leggett (pictured) has taken up the role, which will focus on maintaining the standards and integrity of the firm’s valuation mandates.

Leggett, a director at LSH and head of London West and Thames Valley valuation, has spent the past 17 years at at the firm and has extensive experience acting on behalf of banks, institutions and private clients.

RICS carried out a consultation at the end of last year on proposals for mandatory valuer rotation, among other changes to the Red Book. This was the first consultation relating to Peter Pereira Gray’s independent report into valuations, which was published in January 2022.
