Lambert Smith Hampton’s Leeds director and head of office advisory director, Adam Varley, has left the business to join Scarborough as project and investment executive.
Varley, who has been at LSH for over 16 years, now oversees Scarborough’s developments across the North East, and is based in the developer’s Leeds office.
He will oversee the company’s ‘Northern Powerhouse projects’ including Thorpe Park, Sheffield Digital Campus and the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.
Commenting on his appointment, Varley said: “I’m absolutely delighted to join Scarborough Group. The opportunity to work for a business with such a strong reputation for delivering high-profile schemes in the Northern Powerhouse was really attractive, and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues and partners to deliver these generational projects.”
Earlier this week, Scarborough lodged plans to build a 64-home residential scheme in New Islington, Manchester. The developer has delivered 1,000 new homes in the city, with a further 546 under construction.
Last year, the developer was selected by Sheffield City Council for the city’s Olympic Park regeneration, initially bringing forward 70 acres of development opportunities under the 200-acre site. Development of up to 750,000 sq ft of business space for the sport, health and wellbeing sector is anticipated within this.
