Lambert Smith Hampton could land a sizeable property and facilities management outsourcing contract for Edinburgh city council as part of a partnership with outsourcing company MITIE.
Research carried out by the council for its Alternative Models programme suggested that a seven-year contract be set up with MITIE to provide facilities management services. If the tie-up is confirmed at a planning meeting next week, MITIE will go ahead with its proposal of forming Vital Edinburgh, a wholly owned subsidiary of the MITIE Group, which will be supported by LSH and engineering company Atkins.
LSH has a wider partnership with MITIE where it also provides estate management services for Essex county council.
