LSH retail director Cawood quits for investment role

Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) retail director Paul Cawood is leaving the company to work for shopping centre investment vehicle Balmain Asset Management.

After 18 years at LSH, Cawood will become a director of Balmain, which was set up in December by James Turner, formerly of Westfield.

Cawood was founder of the Shop Agents Society and chaired the organisation between 1984 and 1990.

He said: “I have been considering a client-side move for some time and the opportunity with Balmain was just too good to pass up.

“James and I have highly complementary skills and we are actively seeking shopping centre opportunities where we can use our experience to add value for our investors.”

Cawood is well known in the industry as a founding trustee of the Elifar Foundation (http://www.elifarfoundation.org.uk/), the charity for children and young adults with severe learning and associated physical disabilities.
