Surrey County Council has appointed Lambert Smith Hampton as property supplier for its £1.4bn portfolio.
As part of the framework, it has been appointed to market the council’s freehold interest in Quadrant Court, an 80,000 sq ft office in Woking.
The wider agreement will see LSH provide property-related services across a portfolio comprising administrative offices, libraries, highway depots, fire stations, care facilities, maintained schools, countryside assets, waste and recycling centres, residential property and a range of miscellaneous assets.
LSH has also received instructions to provide strategic advice on opportunities across the portfolio, including landlord and tenant matters, town planning advice, and the marketing for disposal of assets declared or being declared surplus to operational need.
All disposals will be carried out by open marketing with a portfolio of smaller interests being taken through the LSH auction platform.
As well as the Quadrant Court disposal, LSH recently closed marketing for the council on several former care home sites.
The contract runs for three years with an option to extend for a further two years.
