Lucent Group this week submitted plans for up to 3,500 homes in two new villages as part of the £612m Lincolnshire Lakes scheme.
Lucent, lead developer on the 6,000-home project, hopes to begin construction in 2014, subject to planning approval.
The Allies and Morrison-designed scheme also includes a new primary school, youth centre, community centre, shops and a health centre.
The villages will be set around lakes and parkland and be connected by walking and cycling routes along tree-lined streets.
