Athleisure brand Lululemon is expanding in Covent Garden, WC2.
The Canadian chain has agreed a deal with Longmartin Properties, a joint venture between Shaftesbury Capital and the Mercers’ Company, to relocate and upsizing its flagship store within The Yards.
The retailer will now occupy a 8,364 sq ft store on the corner of Long Acre. The store represents an 130% increase in floorspace, which Longmartin said was “a strong vote of confidence” in the destination.
The store will open in the summer.
Abi Labbett, asset manager at CBRE, which acts for Longmartin, said: “Securing the relocation and significant upsize of Lululemon is a key moment for us and reaffirms The Yards as the destination of choice for leading international brands and debut concepts alike.
“We are proud to be experiencing sustained demand and continued investment from the very best names, ones which share our community values, and we look forward to witnessing Lululemon’s continued success at The Yards, Covent Garden.”
Hanover Green acted for the landlord; Forge advised Lululemon.
