Mitchells & Butlers shareholders expressed dismay at the latest breakdown in talks with rival pub group Punch, but said that they would not move against M&B’s management until the outcome of its strategic review next month.
Ill-feeling between the two reignited yesterday after Punch pulled out of talks to transfer its 870-pub Spirit division to M&B.
