Marks & Spencer will open its first three discount outlets by Christmas at BAA McArthurGlen shopping centres in Kent, Cheshire and Scotland.
It will open 12 in the UK and extend the format into continental Europe next year if successful.
The first openings will be in Ashford, Cheshire Oaks and Livingstone.
