M3 appoints new chief executive

M3 Consulting has promoted development director Richard Hollingworth to chief executive, as founder Mick Mannion takes the role of chairman.

The leadership changes are part of the company’s established succession plan.

Hollingworth has been with M3 since 2006. In his new role, he will lead major projects, delivering large-scale developments and masterplans across commercial, residential and mixed-use schemes for public and private sector clients.

He has previously worked on One Exchange Square, Nine Elms Park, the Leadenhall Building, and Royal Mail’s London property strategy.

Mannion founded M3 in 1997 and under his leadership the firm gained a reputation for delivering large-scale, complex projects. As chairman, he will continue to offer strategic direction to the management board.

Since its inception, M3 has provided advice on projects totalling £40bn and has delivered more than 25m sq ft of development across the UK. The company is currently overseeing a development pipeline valued at more than £10bn.

Hollingworth said: “Mick’s vision, leadership and expertise have been central to M3’s track record of excellence over the past 28 years. As we enter this next, exciting chapter for the business, we remain committed to delivering the exceptional, tailored service that our clients rely on to navigate industry challenges and maximise value on large and complex projects.”
