Macquarie Asset Management and data centre operator NTT have agreed a real estate partnership covering NTT’s wholesale facilities in Europe and North America.
The tie-up will allow Macquarie to invest real estate capital alongside NTT. NTT’s portfolio has more than 1,300 MWs of capacity and a development pipeline that would increase that figure by 25%.
Brett Robson, global head of real estate for Macquarie Asset Management, said: “We see this as a very attractive sector to invest in, given the exponential growth of global data and computing and the significant capital requirements for operators to keep up with user demand.”
