Manchester Airports Group, which owns Stansted Airport, is calling on the government to put together a 25-year plan for aviation, including expectations for a new runway for Stansted.
The company is also looking for the government to make decisions about Manchester becoming the northern powerhouse hub.
Stansted reported a 16% increase in traffic in the year ended in March.
