Manchester Airports Group has revealed plans for a China cluster at its £860m Airport City development.
The £130m scheme – announced during the state visit of China’s president Xi Jinping – includes two office buildings totalling 484,000 sq ft.
Named Wuhan Square and Shenzhen Gardens, the offices will be reserved for Chinese companies and will be exempt from business rates because of their location in the Airport City Enterprise Zone.
Wuhan Square will comprise traditional offices with a hotel and shops, while Shenzhen Gardens will be aimed at tech start-ups and SMEs.
