MAG Developments, the property wing of Manchester Airports Group, has revealed plans for a 10-year development project at Bournemouth Airport in Dorset.

The developer has submitted an outline planning application for 452,000 sq ft of commercial property at Aviation Business Park, which sits adjacent to the airport itself.

The scheme will provide 50,000 sq ft of offices, plus industrial space, on a 35-acre site.

MAG Developments also owns Manchester, East Midlands and Humberside airports, and is behind plans for 2m sq ft of mixed-use property at Manchester Airport. The Manchester scheme, known as Airport City, was named earlier this year as one of the government’s 21 new enterprise zones.

David Roberts, development director with MAG Developments, said of the Bournemouth project: “These plans provide a clear long-term strategy for the business park and following on from the £45m investment in new airport facilities, will complement existing stock on the estate, attracting investment through development opportunities that will provide quality industrial, office and warehousing accommodation.”
