Majestic Wine will open a retail warehouse in the Vinopolis wine theme park which makes its debut next month in Southwark, London.
A further nine outlets are expected to open this year taking the group up to 92 branches. Four will open by the autumn. It sees scope for expansion at a rate of 10 a year and ultimate potential for 150 in the UK depending on site availability.
It reported a 22% rise in annual pretax profits to £3.906m. This included a one-off gain of £450,000 on the sale of the lease to a London branch.
