A new public sector and voluntary group partnership is to spearhead £92m of investment in more than 200 South Wales industrial sites.
The partnership, known as Herian (Heritage in Action), says it wants to unlock the economic and community value of sites from Carmarthenshire to Monmouthshire.
Projects will include the redevelopment of abandoned railways, canals and town centre buildings.
Herian comprises 13 local authorities as well as other bodies including Welsh historic monuments organisation Cadw, the Forestry Commission, the National Trust and British Waterways.
